Memento Mori

‘Memento Mori’ - remember you must die. This original play takes the seemingly bleak phrase and finds new meaning to it: acknowledging how the inevitability of death reminds us that we must remember to live. We follow five Edinburgh University students whose module about the history of Edinburgh leads them to find a gravestone in Greyfriars Kirkyard with the inscription ‘Memento Mori’. Their exploration of the phrase forces them to confront personal challenges and embrace the unknown, whilst forging unexpected friendships. This play is a celebration of life, leaving the audience to re-examine whether they too are remembering to live.
